WP Design Vault (wpdesignvault.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act 1998 (DMCA) and applicable international copyright laws, we have adopted the following policy regarding copyright infringement.

1. Our Commitment to Copyright Compliance

WP Design Vault is a digital marketplace distributing WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and related assets. We take intellectual property rights seriously. Our platform:

  • Reviews products for basic legitimacy before listing
  • Maintains a designated contact to receive copyright notices
  • Promptly investigates all credible copyright infringement claims
  • Removes or disables access to infringing content upon verified notification
  • Terminates accounts of users who are repeat infringers

2. Submitting a Copyright Infringement Notice (DMCA Takedown)

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on WP Design Vault in a way that constitutes infringement, you may submit a formal DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated contact.

Your Notice Must Include All of the Following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work – A clear description of the work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered, you may provide a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material – The specific URL(s) or location on WP Design Vault where the allegedly infringing material appears, so we can locate it.
  3. Your contact information – Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith belief statement – A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement – A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Signature – Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name constitutes an electronic signature).

Where to Send Your DMCA Notice:

Email (preferred): legal@wpdesignvault.com

3. Our Response to DMCA Notices

Upon receiving a complete and valid DMCA Takedown Notice, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
  • Review the notice to confirm it meets statutory requirements
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content, typically within 5–10 business days of verifying the notice
  • Notify the user whose content was removed and provide them with a copy of the notice
  • Maintain a record of the notice for compliance purposes

4. Counter-Notification Process

If you believe material you listed on WP Design Vault was removed due to a mistaken or misidentified DMCA notice, you may submit a Counter-Notification.

Your Counter-Notification Must Include:

  • Your contact information: Full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Identification of the removed material: Description and URL(s) of the content that was removed.
  • Good faith belief statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
  • Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court and will accept service of process from the original complainant.
  • Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

Where to Send Your Counter-Notification:

Email: legal@wpdesignvault.com
Subject line: “DMCA Counter-Notification – [Product or Page Name]”

Upon receiving a valid Counter-Notification, we will send a copy to the original complainant and restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action to prevent restoration.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

  • Users who repeatedly upload or distribute infringing content will have their accounts permanently terminated
  • Products associated with verified repeated infringement will be permanently removed from our marketplace
  • WP Design Vault will cooperate fully with legal authorities in cases of serious copyright infringement

6. Abuse of the DMCA Process

Filing a false or bad-faith DMCA notice is a serious legal matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may face civil liability, including attorney fees and damages. Please ensure you have a legitimate, good-faith basis before submitting any copyright claim.

7. Copyright Infringement in Products

If you believe a product on WP Design Vault:

  • Incorporates code, images, or assets from your proprietary software without authorisation
  • Includes your premium assets (fonts, photos, icons) without a proper licence
  • Falsely claims to be an original product

Please submit a DMCA notice using the process above and we will prioritise review of product-level infringement claims.
