Tools process your data in your browser

Most tools on this site run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Text, code, colours, numbers and files (including images) you enter into these tools are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers or sent to third parties. Each tool page shows a “Runs in your browser” notice when this applies. If a tool ever needs to send data to a server, its page will say so clearly before you use it.

Information we collect

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and to keep the site running. [State how long your host keeps logs.]
  • Contact form. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply. The message is not stored in our website database.
  • Comments. If comments are enabled and you leave one, WordPress stores your name, email, the comment and your IP address.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is handled by our newsletter provider: [provider name and link to their privacy policy].
  • Preferences. Your colour-scheme choice (light, dark or system) is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
