    How to use

    1. Paste your CSS.
    2. Choose whether to keep /*! important */ comments (licence headers).
    3. Copy or download the minified CSS.

    What this tool does

It tokenises the stylesheet so strings, url() values and selectors such as “a :hover” keep their meaning, then removes comments, line breaks and spaces that CSS does not need. It does not rename or merge rules.

    Why it matters

Smaller stylesheets download faster. On a production site, a build tool or caching plugin usually minifies automatically; this tool is handy for one-off snippets and checking savings.

    Frequently asked questions

    Can minifying break my CSS?

It should not, because only optional whitespace and comments are removed. Keep your original file for editing.
