Bulk Image Alt Text Checker

Find images without alt text across up to 50 pages, with a per-page summary and a full list of images to export.

Our server fetches the public page you enter and returns a summary. Nothing is stored. Last updated
0 / 50

Our server checks each public URL and returns a summary. Nothing is stored. Private and internal addresses are refused.

    How to use

    1. Paste URLs (one per line, or comma-separated), or upload a .txt or .csv file. Duplicates and invalid lines are removed automatically.
    2. Select Start. Progress is shown as each URL finishes; you can pause, resume or cancel at any time.
    3. Sort and filter the results table, then copy it or download CSV or Excel.

    What this tool does

For each page it counts images with alt text, empty alt and missing alt, and builds a combined list of every image with the page it appears on, ready to filter and export.

    Why it matters

Missing alt text is one of the most common accessibility failures. Fixing it page by page is easier with a single list for the whole set.

    Common uses

    • Accessibility audits of blog archives or product listings.

    Tips

    • Filter the image list to “Missing alt” and download it as a task list.

    Limitations

    • Up to 50 URLs per run, checked two at a time. Checks count towards a per-visitor limit (about 120 checks every 10 minutes) and a per-website limit, so very large lists should be split and run later. Pages are read as the server sends them; JavaScript is not run.
    • Up to 500 images per page are listed.

    Troubleshooting

    • Rows marked as errors show the reason, such as a timeout, DNS failure, certificate problem or a refused private address.
    • If the run waits with a countdown, a rate limit was reached; it continues automatically.
    • Sites behind bot protection may answer this checker differently from a normal browser.

    Frequently asked questions

Should decorative images have alt text?

They should have an empty alt attribute (alt=""), which tells screen readers to skip them.
