Website SEO Checker: Free On-Page Audit

Enter a URL to check its title, meta description, headings, canonical, robots directives, structured data, images, links and response details in one report. Free, no sign-up.

Our server fetches the public page you enter and returns a summary. Nothing is stored. Last updated

Public http:// or https:// pages only. Our server downloads the page once, returns a summary and keeps nothing. JavaScript is not run.

How to use

  1. Paste the full address of one page, for example https://example.com/pricing/.
  2. Select Analyze. The server downloads the page once and reads its HTML.
  3. Start with the summary: red items are problems, amber items deserve a look, green items passed.
  4. Open each section for the details, and copy or download the tables you need.

What this tool does

The checker requests the page like a browser would, follows up to five redirects, and reads the HTML it receives. It reports the HTTP status, response time, title and description lengths, the H1–H6 outline, canonical and robots signals (including the X-Robots-Tag header), Open Graph and Twitter tags, JSON-LD blocks, images without alt text, internal and external links and the visible word count. Each finding is a plain rule you can verify yourself; there is no invented overall score.

Why it matters

Most on-page problems that stop a page from ranking or from being shown well in search are simple and invisible in the browser: a stray noindex, a canonical pointing elsewhere, a missing description, two H1s, or a redirect chain. Checking them takes seconds and catches mistakes before they cost traffic.

Common uses

  • Checking a new page or a redesign before and after launch.
  • Quick competitor review: how a ranking page structures its headings and markup.
  • Confirming that an SEO plugin outputs what you configured.

Tips

  • Audit the exact URL people land on, including the trailing slash and https.
  • Fix red items first; amber items are often judgement calls.
  • Use the bulk tools to check many pages of the same site.

Limitations

  • The page is read as the server sends it. Content that is added later by JavaScript (common on React, Vue or Angular sites and some page builders) is not seen. If results look empty, view the rendered page in your browser and use a paste-HTML tool instead.
  • One page per check: this is not a site crawler. Pages behind a login, a paywall or a bot challenge cannot be read.

Troubleshooting

  • “Could not connect” or “took too long”: the site may be down, slow, or blocking automated requests. Try again later or check it in your browser.
  • “Certificate could not be verified”: the HTTPS certificate is expired, self-signed or issued for another domain. Visitors’ browsers will show a warning too.
  • “Private or reserved network address”: the address points to a local or internal network, which this tool never contacts.
  • “Limit reached”: checks are rate-limited to keep the service free and to avoid overloading other websites. Wait a few minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool give my page an SEO score?

No. Scores from online tools are arbitrary. The report lists concrete checks with a pass, warning or problem status so you can decide what matters for your page.

Does it store the pages I check?

No. The page is downloaded, summarised and discarded. A short-lived cache (about 10 minutes) avoids re-downloading the same URL repeatedly.

Why are some results missing on my JavaScript site?

The tool reads the HTML your server sends and does not run JavaScript. Search engines do render JavaScript, but later and not always fully, so server-rendered titles, links and headings are still the safest choice.
