    How to use

    1. Drop an .svg file or paste SVG code.
    2. Set the output width (the height follows the SVG’s proportions) or pick a scale such as 2× for high-density screens.
    3. Choose a transparent or coloured background and the format, then download.

    What this tool does

    The SVG is checked and cleaned in your browser (scripts, event handlers, foreignObject and external references are removed), then drawn through an image element, which never runs scripts, and rasterised on a canvas at the size you choose.

    Why it matters

    Many places that accept images do not accept SVG: social networks, email, some page builders and app stores. A PNG at the right size keeps logos and icons crisp there.

    • Creating app icons and favicons from vector artwork.

    Tips

    • Export at 2× or 3× the display size for retina screens.
    • If text looks different, the SVG uses a font that is not installed on this device: convert text to outlines in your design tool first.

    Limitations

    • External images, fonts and stylesheets referenced by the SVG are not loaded (for safety and privacy). Embed them or convert them to paths first.
    • Animations are rendered as their first frame.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the background transparent?

    Yes for PNG and WebP when Transparent is selected. JPEG does not support transparency, so a solid background is always used.

    Is it safe to convert an SVG from an unknown source?

    The file is processed only in your browser. Scripts and event handlers are removed and the SVG is drawn as an image, which cannot run code.
